Overview
EBD was hired to mitigate the collapsing structure utilizing various means under asbestos and non-asbestos conditions due to the presence of a friable asbestos paper found between the floor layers. The crews worked to systematically remove the interior components of the structure while preventing the exterior walls from collapsing. The spaces were taken back to their original shells and new openings were cut in the masonry foundations and walls for new windows and doors. Additional openings were cut in the basement floor for new plumbing, slab replacement and an elevator.
